Responsible for managing the medical records of the facility, including preparing, storing, and retrieving patient health records.
Responsible for faxing, emailing, burning disks, printing and emailing doctor schedules
Reviews medical records for compliance with approved policies.
Works independently or as part of a medical records department. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Previous medical office experience is preferred.
3+ years of experience
Minimum of one year experience in a medical office setting.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Experience with electronic medical record and release of information software.
Experience with scanning and indexing programs.
RHIT (Registered Health Information Technologist) certification preferred but not required
