Job Description

Position: Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description:

Greet and prepare patients for consultations and treatments.

Measure and record vital signs, weight, and body measurements.

Assist with patient assessments and provide emotional support throughout their weight loss journey.

Educate patients on weight loss strategies, lifestyle modifications, and healthy habits.

Assist healthcare providers in performing weight loss treatments, such as administering injections, monitoring progress, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and stocking necessary supplies.

Accurately document patient information, medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy, adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars efficiently.

Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.

Handle billing and payment processing accurately.

Assist with inventory management and ordering medical supplies as needed.

Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and nutritionists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized weight loss treatment plans.

Maintain a positive and professional work environment, actively contributing to team collaboration and growth. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program preferred.

Relevant certification and/or state license as a Medical Assistant.

Previous experience in a medical spa, weight loss clinic, or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable.

Knowledge of weight loss strategies, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices.

Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer proficiency.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
