Specialty accepted: Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant
Start date: May 4 - September 4 (possibility to extend)
Shifts requested: Sunday - Thursday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Practice setting: Hospital
Patient load: 8-10 patients per APP per day
Procedures required: Admissions, consults, co-management of ED holds and admitted patients. No critical care responsibilities. Locums will respond to codes but not in the ED.
Requirements: Active NC License, DEA, BLS, ACLS
Other: Established hospitalist service with 2 physicians and 4 APPs. Average total inpatient census: 17-21. Average admissions: 4-6 per day, 5-7 at night. Locums will not serve as backup in the Emergency Department but will consult on holds in the ED. Comprehensive medical staff available, including General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, ENT, Primary Care, and Oncology.
